This role is responsible for selecting and managing commercially successful product ranges for the organization. The role owns the product lifecycle from seasonal range planning and prebook decisions through purchase orders, intake, trading performance, reorders and end-of-season actions.This is a broad, hands-on commercial role suited to an experienced buyer who combines strong product instinct with confident numerical analysis, supplier management and a clear understanding of the premium golf and sportswear customer in the US market.

Key Responsibilities:

• Own seasonal range planning and product selection across the brand portfolio, ensuring the assortment is commercially relevant for the US customer.
• Build and maintain seasonal buying plans, including option counts, quantities, size curves, cost prices, retail prices and delivery phasing.
• Lead the prebook process with brand partners, reviewing line sheets, placing seasonal orders and ensuring investment is aligned with sales potential, margin and stock requirements.
• Raise, issue and maintain purchase orders, ensuring costs, quantities, sizes and delivery dates are accurate and commercially appropriate.
• Analyze sales, sell-through, margin, stock cover and product performance, taking action on reorders, cancellations, markdowns and future buying decisions.
• Build strong relationships with brand partners and suppliers, negotiating commercial terms, delivery schedules, product opportunities and exclusive or differentiated ranges where appropriate.
• Manage order confirmations and resolve issues including short shipments, substitutions, cancellations, pricing discrepancies and faulty goods.
• Work closely with operations and the fulfilment team on inbound deliveries, stock availability, intake priorities and inventory issues.
• Attend brand appointments, showroom visits, buying meetings and trade shows in the US and internationally as required.
• Work closely with ecommerce and marketing to identify key products, launches, seasonal stories and commercial opportunities, and support continuous improvement of buying and merchandising processes.
• Carry out all duties in line with company policies and procedures and take ownership of agreed buying targets and commercial performance.

Qualifications:

• Demonstrable experience in apparel, footwear, sportswear or fashion buying/merchandising.
• Experience selecting ranges and managing seasonal buying or prebook cycles.
• Experience analysing sales, stock, margin and sell-through to make commercial buying decisions.
• Experience managing supplier and brand relationships.
• Commercially minded, analytical and product focused.
• Proactive and confident taking ownership of decisions from range selection through to trading performance.
• Collaborative and confident working across departments.
• Highly organized, accurate and comfortable working at pace.
• Degree or relevant qualification in business, fashion, retail or a related subject, or equivalent commercial buying experience.
• Able to travel to trade shows, brand showrooms, supplier meetings and other locations.
