Shift: 4:30 PM - 5:00 AM

Job Description

The PACU (Post Anesthesia Care Unit) at our facility provides critical post-operative care. RNs will work within a fast-paced and dynamic environment, providing high-quality care to patients recovering from anesthesia and various surgical procedures. The PACU team floats between units, taking care of diverse patient populations and maintaining optimal patient safety and comfort.

Responsibilities

• Provide immediate care and monitoring for patients post-anesthesia.
• Assess patients' conditions and respond appropriately to any complications.
• Administer medications and interventions as needed.
• Collaborate with surgical teams to ensure continuity of care.
• Educate patients and families post-operative care instructions.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Current RN license in the state of practice.
• Critical Care and/or PACU experience required.
• Current certification in PALS, ACLS, BLS, and NIHSS.
