Coordinator, Talent Search 61 South Responsibilities Recruits program participants from Jefferson, Adams, and Wilkinson County School Districts Coordinates services and activities Facilitates workshops and coaches participants to persist, graduate and enroll in postsecondary education programs Assists with input of student and staff data for reporting requirements Other related duties, as assigned Qualifications Bachelor’s degree minimum, Master’s degree preferred in counseling, education, higher education, or a related field Minimum of two years of experience working with at-risk/disadvantaged students while increasing persistence, retention, and graduation rates, as well as promoting career exploration and financial education Must be able to construct tutoring schedules and establish and maintain positive and cooperative relationships with target school staff, participants, and the public Knowledge of project management best practices Knowledge of the community, as well as social, cultural and political awareness Excellent communication skills, verbal, written and interpersonal Strong organizational skills Proficient computer skills, including use of Microsoft Office Suite, Email and other databases Strong conflict management skills Good visual, auditory and ambulatory ability Ability to creatively motivate, empower and recognize students Ability to track, report and analyze data Ability to demonstrate empathy Ability to build consensus and positive relationships Ability to prioritize in a fast-paced office environment Ability to demonstrate initiative and exhibit excellent judgment Licenses/Certifications License or Professional credentials in relevant discipline (if applicable) #J-18808-Ljbffr Alcorn State University
