Since 1893 Backus Hospital has been the primary source of healthcare services for much of Eastern Connecticut. We are home to the only trauma center in New London and Windham counties and are the only area hospital with LIFE STAR helicopter services.

Resource Center RNs are specially trained to care for all patient populations and serve as the Float Pool for Backus Hospital. This dynamic team consists of highly skilled nursing professionals who showcase strong collaboration, flexibility, and communication skills to deliver the highest quality of care to our patients and their families.
Qualifications Graduate of a school of nursing
One (1) year recent acute RN experience
Current unrestricted State of CT Registered Nurse license
Current Basic Life Support (BLS)
Current Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification for Critical Care track
Ability to obtain and maintain department specific certifications.
