Physical Therapy Assistant - Outpatient/Inpatient

This is a 13-week contract position.

Day Shift: 5x8-Hour (07:00 - 19:00)

The Physical Therapy Assistant (PTA) will provide care in both outpatient and inpatient settings, which include Swing Bed, Inpatient, Observation, and Extended Recovery. The position requires collaboration with the Therapy Director to ensure optimal scheduling and patient care.

Responsibilities:

• Assist physical therapists in the implementation of treatment plans.
• Monitor patient progress and report any changes to the supervising therapist.
• Document patient care and maintain accurate patient records.
• Provide support in various patient care areas as required.
• Participate in interdisciplinary team meetings when necessary.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure:

• 2 years of experience as a Physical Therapy Assistant.
• Current Missouri Licensure as a Physical Therapy Assistant.
• BLS and CPR Certification through the American Heart Association.
• Availability for 1 Saturday shift per month, with a corresponding day off during the week.
• May float to other departments as needed based on patient census.
