About the Position

Shift:

• Day Shift
• 4×12 hours per week
• 07:00 AM – 07:00 PM
• Every other weekend required
• Floating to Med‑Surg units when needed
• No block scheduling

Responsibilities:

• Provide care on a MS/Tele unit with a 1:5 day ratio
• Monitor and interpret cardiac rhythms
• Manage dysrhythmias , respond to Rapid Response/Code
• Perform IV insertion , peripheral line care, PICC/central line care
• Administer medications , including heparin protocols
• Conduct wound care , isolation precautions, trach & oxygen management
• Care for post‑cardiac and post‑surgical patients (PCI, pacemakers, AICD)
• Handle feeding tubes , surgical drains, and orthopedics/trauma overflow
• Document care in Epic (required)

Licensure & Experience

• Active NY RN License in hand — REQUIRED
• Travel experience — REQUIRED
• Previous Charge Experience — REQUIRED
• Minimum 1–2 years MS/Tele experience
• Must live >75 miles from the facility (locals not accepted)

Certifications

• BLS — REQUIRED
