Travel Speech Language Pathologist - $1,572 per week

Fusion Medical Staffing-Therapy is seeking a travel Speech Language Pathologist for a travel assignment in Washington, District of Columbia. Job Details Location: Facility in Washington, District of Columbia Start Date: 07/13/2026 Duration: 13 weeks Hours: 40 hours per week (8‑hour days) Employment Type: Travel Responsibilities Utilize standardized assessments and clinical observation to evaluate speech, language, voice, fluency, and swallowing disorders across a diverse patient population. Design personalized therapy programs based on evaluation findings, patient goals, and evidence‑based practices. Continuously assess patient progress, adjust treatment plans as needed, and maintain detailed, accurate documentation in the electronic medical record. Educate patients, families, and caregivers on effective communication strategies, home‑based exercises, and safe swallowing practices, while offering supportive counseling as required. Work in conjunction with interdisciplinary healthcare teams to coordinate a comprehensive approach to patient care. Maintain a safe treatment environment by adhering to infection control protocols, safety guidelines, and regulatory standards while addressing patients’ comfort needs during therapy sessions. Engage in quality assurance initiatives and professional development activities to remain current with best practices in speech-language therapy. Perform other duties as assigned within scope of practice. Required Qualifications Valid Speech Language Pathologist License in compliance with state regulations. Current BLS certification (AHA/ARC). Preferred Qualifications Master’s Degree or higher in Speech Language Pathology. Current Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech‑Language Pathology. Experience in Speech Language Pathology; new graduates welcomed. Other certifications or licenses may be required for this position. Required Essential Skills Critical thinking, service excellence, and strong interpersonal communication skills. Ability to read, write, and communicate in English. Ability to read/comprehend written instructions, follow verbal instructions, and proficiency in PC skills. Physical abilities: able to remain in a stationary position, move equipment (50‑100 lbs), push, pull, and bend. Interpersonal skills: work effectively with a variety of personnel, present a positive attitude, and maintain professionalism. Technical/motor skills: grasp, perform fine manipulation, push/pull, and move within procedures and equipment use. Mental requirements: cope with frequent contact with the public, meet deadlines under pressure, work with minimal supervision, and maintain concentration on details.
