Plans and formulates engineering program; reviews product design for compliance with engineering principles, company standards, customer contract requirements, and related specifications. Evaluates and approves design changes, specification and drawing releases. Coordinates activities concerned with technical developments, scheduling, and resolving engineering design and test problems.Basic QualificationsBachelor's degree or higher, preferably in a technical fieldDemonstrated ability to work with technical leads to perform one or more of the following: manage cost, manage schedule, or manage technical scopeKnowledge of program lifecycle and how early achievements may drive future costsUS Citizenship with the ability to obtain and maintain a Final Secret security clearanceDesired SkillsExperience in one or more flight science (Aerodynamics, Thermodynamics, Mass Properties, Loads & Dynamics, Stress, etc.) disciplines with demonstrated ability to work with modeling tools appropriate to flight science discipline.Project managementExperience throughout engineering lifecycle (system definition, design, build, test and operational deployment)Positive demeanor, accountable and responsible and able to work in a team-focused, dynamic environmentDemonstrated behaviors of a systems thinker; selects and applies appropriate systems thinking skills to solve very sophisticated problems and implement constructive changeMissile or space segment design and test experience with one or more subsystems or fields outside of Systems EngineeringExcellent written and verbal communication skills, strong social skills, with the ability to lead multi-functional teams, build strong relationships with team members and build consensus among peersActive Secret or Top Secret security clearancePay InformationFull-Time Salary Range: $79300.00 - $147300.00At Lockheed Martin, we know mission success starts with taking care of our people.
