As a member of the Pre-Sales Engineering Team, you will be responsible for meeting with Presidio’s customers, collecting requirements for business solutions related to network and security projects, and developing engineering solutions for sale to Presidio customers.A successful Networking Sr. Solutions Architect (SA) should be able to develop, present, and educate on various network infrastructure technologies (LAN/WAN, Data Center Switching, Security, SD-WAN) to customers, guide them through requirements gathering, and formulate a solution consisting of hardware, software, licensing, and engineering services.The ideal candidate will have knowledge and understanding of ENTERPRISE class solutions from partners such as Cisco, Palo Alto, HPE, VMware, AWS, and other network infrastructure manufacturers. Successful candidates will have a solid grasp of network design principles based on industry best practices.This position includes up to 25% travel in the region. This position is based in the Minneapolis, MN area.Responsibilities Include:Develop high-level technical solutions and present to customers (Hardware, Software, Licensing, Professional Services)Collect business and technical requirementsComplete end-to-end, full lifecycle network designsDrive whiteboard conversationsCraft customer facing presentationsDelivering technical presentations and product demonstrationsGenerate hardware configurations (BoM) and/or work with internal teams to complete these tasksWrite statements of work (SoW) and develop Professional Service pricing utilizing Presidio toolsAbility to self-pace and self-set direction in a team environment to drive business outside of tradtional networking (cloud, cyber, managed services, and digital business opportunities, etc.)Build relationships with Account Executive/Extended Sales Teams to develop customer rapport and solutions and assist in overall sales processMaintain and develop technical and technology specific skill sets and certificationsRequired Skills:Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent experience and/or military experience7+ years of experience, which demonstrates a significant level of expertise in enterprise class network and security solutions.Expert-level knowledge and experience with design, implementation and support of one or more of the following:Complex routing and switching solutions (Cisco and HPE)Next gen firewalls/VPNs (Cisco, Palo Alto, Fortinet, etc.)SSE and SASE technologiesNetwork Access Control, including Cisco Identity Services Engine (preferred), Aruba ClearPass, and FortiNAC implementation, design, configuration.IDS/IPS solutions (Cisco, FortiGuard, Tipping Point, etc. are helpful)Data Center switching/segmentation solutions such as Cisco ACI, VXLAN, and VMware NSXSDWAN solutions such as Cisco Viptela, Meraki SDWAN, Prisma, Silver Peak, VMware Velocloud, etc.Cisco/Meraki, Mist, or Aruba WirelessPreferred Skills & Experience:One or more of the following certifications: CCDP/CCNP/CCIE and other non-Cisco certificationsExperience in a Value-Added Reseller (VAR) environmentA successful Sr. Solutions Architect will be able to demonstrate technical and design expertise based on past/present experience in deployment, administration, configuration, or integration.
