Team Leader Position

A team leader is someone who consistently demonstrates our core values, embraces the Chick-fil-A culture, and has a servant's heart. They have a passion for people and for serving others, have a strong character, take initiative, and work with a sense of urgency at all times. Our team leaders are responsible for supporting the senior management in executing daily operations and keeping team members accountable for each component of operational excellence and our recipe for service. The two main areas of focus for a team leader are completing tasks to make the restaurant run effectively and training and developing team members. Team leaders lead by example and set the tone for others to follow.

Team leader responsibilities:

• Participate operationally in daily activities in high-volume, fast-paced restaurants
• Offer immediate and respectful response to guest needs
• Help in training new employees, set the tone for a shift, and act as a role model for our team
• Be a kind and motivating team player
• Open and/or close, shift changes
• Excellent communication skills, both written and spoken

• Previous experience as a shift leader, team leader, supervisor, team leader, restaurant manager, or assistant restaurant manager is not required but preferred.

Back of house requirements and expectations:

• Run shift
• Manage breaks according to laws
• Manage and manage restaurant productivity
• Ensure compliance with daily training plan for white health
• Control and evaluate all foods with time and temperature control throughout the shift
• Ensure cleanliness of restaurants at each BOH position
• Ensure operational excellence at all peak times
• Offer feedback and encouragement in real time to the team
• Develop your team each shift
• Attend monthly team leader meeting
• Have fun and serve your team

Front of house requirements and expectations:

• Run shift
• Manage breaks according to laws
• Manage and manage restaurant productivity
• Ensure compliance with daily training plan for counter, dining room, and self-service
• Ensure cleanliness of restaurant at each FOH position
• Ensure operational excellence at your shift for each FOH and Drive Thru position
• Attend monthly team leader meeting
