ASSISTANT CAMP COOK SEASONAL PT (SUMMER)

Part‑time Seasonal Summer Staff – May 1st to September 30th The City of Commerce Camp Program is located at Lake Arrowhead, CA. Responsibilities Assists with preparing meals according to standard recipes and health department regulations. Cleans, slices, and chops food; maintains salad bar and self‑serve area with fresh ingredients; provides kitchen support to cooks as instructed. Cleans kitchen and dining areas; maintains clean and sanitary conditions in the facility to assure the highest degree of cleanliness of food production and service areas; cleans dishes, trays, pans, and cooking utensils; cleans kitchen equipment; cleans floors and surfaces in food preparation area. Restocks food and supplies to the proper storage areas; assists with inventory. Recognizes, avoids, and reports unsafe conditions, accidents and injuries. Education and Experience One year of experience in commercial food preparation is required. Required Licenses or Certifications Food Handler's Certificate from the County Health Department is required. First Aid & CPR training is preferred or ability to obtain within 90 days of employment.
