Software Dev Engineer II

$60-$67 per hour Seattle, WA Contract Duration:12 months Position Summary We are seeking a Software Development Engineer to build scalable marketing technology systems that support paid media campaigns across digital and social channels. This role will directly contribute to customer acquisition, content discovery, and subscriber growth at global scale. The position spans the full campaign lifecycle, including AI-powered campaign automation, advertising-platform integrations, real-time measurement and attribution, campaign management workflows, and AI-assisted optimization and reporting. The ideal candidate has a strong computer science foundation with experience in distributed systems, data engineering, cloud technologies, and/or marketing or advertising technology. The successful candidate should be detail-oriented, possess strong written and verbal communication skills, work effectively with limited supervision, and consistently deliver results in a fast-paced engineering environment. Key Responsibilities Build scalable, AI-powered automation for campaign creation, scheduling, optimization, and reporting using agentic frameworks and large language models. Develop integrations with advertising technology platforms to support campaign activation and delivery. Design and develop data pipelines supporting real-time campaign measurement, attribution, and performance analysis. Build campaign management tools, workflows, and services that enable efficient optimization and iteration. Develop multi-agent systems and AI copilots that support workflows from campaign ideation through performance reporting. Collaborate with data science and applied science teams to implement machine-learning-powered capabilities, including audience optimization and incrementality measurement. Build monitoring, alerting, and reliability infrastructure to support highly available marketing operations. Contribute to system architecture, technical design, design patterns, scalability, reliability, and performance improvements. Participate in code reviews and contribute to engineering standards and best practices. Develop solutions using distributed systems, cloud services, and large-scale data technologies. Independently investigate technical challenges, identify opportunities for improvement, and deliver solutions in a fast-paced environment. Collaborate with cross-functional stakeholders to translate business and operational requirements into scalable technical solutions. Required Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, or a related technical field. 3 years of non-internship professional software development experience. 2 years of experience designing or architecting new and existing software systems, including design patterns, reliability, and scalability. 2 years of experience working with big-data technologies such as cloud platforms, Apache Spark, or Hadoop. Professional software development experience using Java and/or Python . Hands-on experience with AWS services , including: AWS Step Functions Amazon S3 Amazon Redshift AWS Lambda Amazon EMR Experience designing and developing distributed systems . Experience developing and maintaining data pipelines . Strong analytical, problem-solving, organizational, and technical communication skills. Ability to work independently and manage priorities in a fast-paced environment. Preferred Qualifications Experience developing AI-native software systems. Experience with agentic AI frameworks and cloud-based foundation-model services. Experience integrating with advertising technology platforms. Experience developing campaign management or marketing technology systems. Experience with privacy-preserving data collaboration technologies such as cloud data clean rooms. Experience with TypeScript .
