Position Concept The Assistant Golf Professional will be an ambassador for GreatLIFE by providing world class levels of customer service to both members and guests. This position is supervised by and coordinates with: GM/Head Golf Professional Specific Responsibilities Assist in hiring, training, supervising, and scheduling of staff to maintain service standards in all golf operations - Pro Shop Staff, Player Assistants, Outside Service Staff Works closely with their lead on schedules for leagues, golf tournaments, and daily operations Proactively manage daily work to ensure team member accountability Coordinating with golf shop staff and player assistant staff for daily functions Assist with tournament operations Assist with junior programming Assist with league organization Assist the with on course assistance as requested Assist fellow teammates to ensure the highest quality of member and guest service Greet all members and guests in a professional and friendly manner Enforce all rules and regulations governing golf course usage Assist in the oversight of a profitable merchandise concession that is consistent with customer demographics and needs Oversee and enforce golf shop operations policies, procedures, controls, and fee structures to ensure the safekeeping of assets, inventory, and resources Maintain accurate counts on tee sheet and in the point-of-sale system to increase rounds of golf and golf operations revenue Knowledge, Skills and Traits Fundamental knowledge of the game of golf, rules of golf, golf facility operations, and tournament operations Fundamental supervisory practices and principles Act as a role model for all employees by demonstrating the behavior and work ethic expected of all Team Members Strong organizational, planning, and prioritization skills Self-motivated with desire to promote and market Service and customer focused attitude Experienced in written and oral business communications Remain up-to-date on customer relationship management tactics and strategies Maintain and promote a positive professional image within the community Remain up to date on Golf Genius software Standing for long periods of time Ability to lift up to 40 Pounds Experience PGA Apprentice in the PGA PGM Program preferred Experience working in a golf operation preferred Compensation and Benefits Personal and professional development PGM Education Assistance Reimbursement Club Vendor Options Free GreatLIFE Membership Discounts on merchandise, food, beverage and services Competitive salary based on experience Partner Facility privileges Cash flow sharing opportunities Full-Time Full-Time Benefits PTO 401K/with company match Insurance (Health, Dental, Vision and Supplemental) with company contribution #J-18808-Ljbffr GreatLIFE Golf & Fitness Club
