An established private veterinary hospital in Clearwater is looking for a compassionate and clinically driven veterinarian to join its experienced team, with a strong focus on quality medicine, manageable caseloads, and sustainable work-life balance.
Role Summary
A new opportunity has arisen for an Associate Veterinarian (DVM) to join a highly regarded private small animal hospital in Clearwater, Florida.
Established for more than 20 years, the practice has developed a loyal and growing client base by consistently providing compassionate, high-quality veterinary care. Its long-standing reputation within the community reflects the team's commitment to excellent medicine and meaningful relationships with pet owners.
One of the key attractions of this position is the emphasis on clinical autonomy and manageable workloads. Veterinarians are given the freedom to practise excellent medicine while working within a caseload structure designed to support both patient care and personal wellbeing. Client appointments are 30 minutes, allowing sufficient time for thorough consultations and communication.
You'll join a friendly and experienced group of Veterinarians and Licensed Veterinary Technicians (LVTs) who value collaboration and actively support one another.
Key Duties
You'll become an important member of the clinical team, delivering comprehensive veterinary care while developing lasting relationships with patients and their owners.
Your responsibilities will include:
•Diagnosing, treating, and managing a diverse range of medical conditions affecting companion animals.
•Providing preventative medicine and wellness care with a strong focus on patient welfare.
•Discussing diagnoses, treatment choices, and long-term healthcare recommendations clearly and compassionately with clients.
•Performing a broad range of medical, surgical, and dental procedures in accordance with your experience and clinical interests.
•Working closely with Veterinarians, LVTs, and support staff to maintain an efficient and positive practice environment.
•Playing an active part in the continued success of an established hospital committed to high standards of veterinary medicine.

Key Qualifications & Requirements
•Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM) degree from an accredited institution.
•Active Florida veterinary licence or eligibility to obtain licensure.
•Successful completion of the North American Veterinary Licensing Examination (NAVLE).
•Authorisation to work in the United States.
•Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a strong commitment to client service.
•Collaborative approach and genuine passion for delivering high-quality patient care.
