Welder/Mechanic

Location: Tulsa Area, OK
Pay: $DOE

Job Summary

HireCall is looking for an experienced Welder/Mechanic to join a busy welding and fabrication team. The ideal candidate will have strong structural or plate welding experience, be comfortable reading blueprints, and have the ability to fit, lay out, weld, and repair components to exact specifications.

Shift

Regular Schedule: 7:00 AM - 3:30 PM
Overtime: 1 additional hour at the end of the day as needed.

During hot weather: 6:00 AM - 2:30 PM
Overtime: 1 additional hour at the end of the day as needed.

Primary Responsibilities

• Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and specifications.
• Take accurate measurements and plan layouts and welding procedures.
• Determine the appropriate welding equipment and method based on job requirements.
• Set up components for welding, including cutting and grinding materials to specification.
• Fit and align components using calipers, rulers, clamps, and other measuring tools.
• Weld components using manual or semi-automatic welding equipment in various positions, including vertical, horizontal, and overhead.
• Perform MIG, TIG, Stick, and Metal Core welding according to blueprint specifications.
• Gouge material to repair cracks, defects, or damaged components.
• Inspect completed work to ensure quality and accuracy.
• Maintain a safe, clean, and organized work area.
• Perform duties with a high level of responsibility, productivity, and effective time management.

Requirements

• Minimum of 4 years of structural or plate welding experience required.
• Experience reading and interpreting blueprints.
• Experience fitting and laying out parts for welding.
• Experience with MIG, TIG, Stick, and Metal Core welding.
• Ability to weld in multiple positions.
• Strong knowledge of welding equipment, tools, and fabrication processes.
• Professional welding certification(s) are a plus.
• Strong communication skills.
• Dependable, safety-minded, and able to work independently.
