Position Details

This position requires a Registered Nurse (RN) to work 12-hour shifts, specifically during the day from 0645 to 1915. The role is scheduled for 36 hours per week following an initial week of orientation. Candidates must possess an active Hawaii nursing license by the start of the assignment.

Job Responsibilities

The RN will be responsible for floating between various medical and surgical units within the facility. Key duties include:

Providing nursing care across diverse units, including Medical, Laulima (Surgical Acute), and occasionally the Cardiovascular Unit.
Utilizing equipment and technology such as Meditech EMR, Pyxis, wound vacs, and chest tubes.
Participating in interdisciplinary teams to ensure comprehensive patient care.

Unit Information

The following details pertain to the units involved:

Medical Unit: 77 beds; Nurse to patient ratio of 1:6 for day shifts and evenings, 1:8 for night shifts.
Laulima Unit (Surgical Acute): 18 beds; Nurse to patient ratio of 1:6.
Cardiovascular Unit: 15 beds; Nurse to patient ratio of 1:4.

Required Qualifications

Candidates must meet the following requirements:

A minimum of 2 years of nursing experience, with up to 10 years preferred.
Required certifications: BLS, ACLS (Preferred: PALS, Procedural Sedation, TNCC, ENPC).

Orientation and Training

An orientation period will be provided for each unit to ensure a smooth transition into the role. Candidates are required to arrive by the Thursday before the start date to complete an employee health appointment scheduled for Friday. Please ensure you can meet this timeline before accepting the offer.

Dress Code

Professional nursing attire is required; clean scrubs must be worn at all times.
