This position involves preparing the operating room, handling surgical instruments, and providing support throughout the surgical process.Responsibilities\n \n Prepare the operating room by setting up surgical instruments, equipment, sterile drapes, and solutions.\n Assemble both sterile and non-sterile equipment; adjust and check equipment for proper function.\n Prepare patients for surgery by ensuring aseptic incision sites and assisting with positioning on the operating table.\n Assist the surgical team in donning sterile gowns and gloves.\n Pass instruments and other sterile supplies to surgeons during surgery.\n Hold retractors, cut sutures, and perform sponge or suction duties under the supervision of the surgeon.\n Assist in specimen preparation, care, and disposal for laboratory analysis.\n Label and ensure proper distribution of medications during surgery.\n Transfer patients to recovery post-surgery and maintain a clean operating environment.\n Restock and prepare the operating room for subsequent procedures.\n Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure\n \n Minimum of 2 years of experience as a Surgical Technologist.\n Certification as a Surgical Technologist (CST) or Tech in Surgery-Certified (TSC) preferred.\n Basic Life Support (BLS) certification is required.\n Must meet or maintain compliance with PA state licensing requirements (e.g., Act 31, Act 33, Act 34, Act 73).\n Schedule\n This is a day shift position with an 8 x 5 schedule, working 5 days per week.Why ARMStaffing?\n At ARMStaffing, we take care of our employees!
