The Department Head is responsible for the over-site of small to moderately sized portion of the C2PMod project. They will play a critical role in achieving the organizations goals by managing assigned project and employee performance, manage various client and subcontractor relationships, and collaborate with our business and operations department to ensure accurate reporting, adherence with local, state, and federal policies, and ensure project is operating within contract parameters. The qualified candidate will need to have a solid technical background with understanding and/or hands-on experience in one or more of the following: Test Automation, DevSecOps, Cyber Security, Technical writing, Test and Evaluation, System Development and/or System Engineering of communication and/or combat systems.CORE FUNCTIONS / JOB DUITESPerform the following under the general supervision and guidance from senior leaders:Coordinate internal resources and sub-contractors for the successful execution of projects.Maintain and manage relationships with clients, sub-contractors and stakeholders of assigned projects.Basic project knowledge and technical understanding and/or hands-on experience in department related field.Knowledge of the associated DoD policies, procedures and processes required for proper implementation of project plans and milestones.Assist in the definition of project scope and objectives, involving all relevant stakeholders and ensuring technical feasibility and execution realism.Manage changes to the project scope, project schedule, and project costs using appropriate techniques. Perform risk management to minimize project risks.Create and maintain comprehensive project documentation to include detailed project plans to monitor and track progress of assigned projects.Measure project performance using appropriate tools and techniques and communicate/report project status and needs to management and associated clients.Develop existing staff capabilities, perform hiring and staff management functions in accordance with company policies. Provide guidance to team members and monitor their performance, discipline and attendance on regular basis.HWIL Testing, Development, and/or System Engineering of communication and/or combat systems with knowledge of the associated DoD policies, procedures and processes required for proper implementation of project plans and milestones.SKILLS & ABILITIESStrong working knowledge of Microsoft Office.Clear translation of thoughts into technical reports. plans and correspondences in methods acceptable to industry standards.Demonstrates excellent clear and concise verbal communication skills.Active communicator. giving full attention to what other people are saying, taking time to understand the points being made, asking questions as appropriate.Solid organizational skills including attention to detail when formulating written products/correspondence.Ability to concisely articulate situations, needs and requirements with management, assigned staff and customers.Excellent client-facing and internal communication skills.Solid organizational skills including attention to detail and multi-tasking skills.Develop processes and plans for staff technical and professional capabilities growth.Assign project leads and work with subordinates to formulate team composition to ensure successful service delivery.DoD Test and EvaluationDoD Program Acquisition and ManagementDoD Software DevelopmentPreferred:Experience with TestComplete and Test AutomationUsing Jenkins as a pipeline orchestratorCI/CDAWS managementCTB Lab Experience (test execution and analysis)Experience applying STIGs and generating artifacts to proceed through the RMF processExperience using CMPRO to manage baselinesGit workflowStrong knowledge in the Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC)EDUCATION & CERTIFICATIONSGED and/or equivalent years of experienceBachelor of Science in STEM field PreferredPMP Certification PreferredTYPICAL WORKING CONDITIONS General office environmentComputer/Equipment lab PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTSMay be expected to lift up to 25 lbsFrequent use of keyboard and typingFrequent sitting and standingWORK SCHEDULE9/80The ability to work non-standard work hours and schedules in support of project requirements.PAY RANGE$120,000.00 to $150,000.00 annually, DOEU.S. Citizenship is RequiredSECURITY CLEARANCECandidates must have an active clearance OR the ability to obtain a US Government security clearance and will be subject to a US security background investigation (i.e. favorable background investigation / credit score). Additional eligibility requirements for access to various levels of classified information may also be required.
