Job Description
Dental Hygienist - Santa Fe Indian Health Center
Santa Fe, NM (with rotation to Santa Clara Health Center and Cochiti Health Clinic)

Details
• Three openings
• Schedule: Monday to Friday, 7:30 AM - 4:30 PM or 7:30 AM - 5:00 PM
• No weekends, no call, no federal holidays
• Pay: $28.50 per hour
• $1729 weekly per diem
• $2386 gross per week at 40 hours
• $59.65 combined hourly (taxed and non-taxed)

Duties
• Perform child and adult prophylaxis, periodontal debridement, scaling/root planing, and administer anesthesia
• Conduct oral health evaluations, risk assessments, charting, vitals, and radiographs
• Document in Dentrix and support dentist with treatment planning
• Provide patient education on oral hygiene, disease prevention, tobacco cessation, and nutrition
• Deliver preventive services including sealants, fluoride, and desensitizing agents
• Maintain infection control, sterilize instruments, and follow chairside protocols
• Support recall systems and participate in staff meetings for program improvement

Requirements
• Graduate of an accredited Dental Hygiene program (Associate or Bachelor)
• Current, unrestricted U.S. dental hygiene license (any state, DC, PR, or U.S. territory)
• Minimum 24 months of dental hygiene experience, including at least 12 months in specialty
• Strong resume showing ability to perform outlined duties
