We have partnered with a Southern New Jersey distributor on their search for a detail-oriented Accounting Coordinator with proven bookkeeping abilities. This position will assist with accounts payable and receivable, data entry, reconciliations, financial reporting, and maintaining accurate financial documentation. The ideal Accounting Coordinator should be organized, dependable, and able to manage a high volume of information while maintaining a high level of accuracy.
Responsibilities:
· Manage incoming and outgoing financial transactions by recording invoices, monitoring payment activity, and helping keep receivables and payables current.
· Update purchasing, sales, and inventory information in company systems with a high degree of accuracy to support day-to-day operations.
· Compare bank activity and vendor balances against internal records, investigate inconsistencies, and assist with timely resolution.
· Prepare and organize routine financial data and system information to support basic reporting needs.
· Maintain orderly documentation and records so files remain complete, accessible, and ready for review or audit purposes.
· Assist with administrative and clerical tasks that contribute to smooth office and accounting operations.
· Work extensively within Odoo and Microsoft Office tools to process entries, track information, and support accounting workflows.
The ideal Accounting Coordinator will have an Associates degree in Accounting/Finance/Business Administration.
Other requirements for the Accounting Coordinator role include and are not limited to:
· 3+ years of previous accounting/booking experience
· Manufacturing and/or Distribution industry experience
· Strong proficiency with Microsoft Office, particularly Excel
· ERP software experience, Odoo highly preferred
· Dependable, self-motivated, and comfortable working independently while managing multiple priorities
