Seattle Colleges is looking to hire an Executive Director of Corporate Relations in the Office of Advancement.
Salary Range for this position is $116 ,475/yr. to $160 , 846/yr. (DOE)¿¿

Position Summary :
The Executive Director of Corporate Relations is responsible for building and leading a corporate partnership program focused on advancing the Seattle Colleges' impact on the local workforce and economy. Combining strategy, relationship building and fundraising expertise, this role develops collaborations and facilitates opportunities that mutually benefit industry, students, Seattle Colleges, and the communities it serves.
As a key leader in Advancement, the Executive Director works with the Colleges' leadership and Seattle Colleges Foundation's Board of Directors and must be highly responsive in meeting critical external deadlines, while also providing Develop strategic, annual and project work plans with internal partners.
This position is typically scheduled to work Monday through Friday, 8:00am-5:00pm. The schedule may vary depending on program needs. May be required to work evenings and weekends as needed.

What you will be working on:
External Partnerships and Funding
- Develop engagement opportunities and program concepts that address industry needs, support student success, and provide significant value (in the form of engagement, internships, career programs, speakers, advisory committees, board service, workforce education).
- Secure philanthropic support by building and maintaining strategic relationships with key corporations and industry organizations.
- Build a compelling case for corporate investment through data, case studies and storytelling.
- Recruit and manage key volunteers to help build corporate collaborations.
- Manage portfolio of prospects and donors with capacity for six and seven-figure funding.
- Leverage public-private funding opportunities and revenue-generating program opportunities (e.g., up-skilling, re-skilling, corporate training)
- Lead the development and refinement of proposals.
- Provide timely stewardship, progress reports and analysis to ensure the overall success of programs, projects, and activities funded by corporate donors.
- Design and oversee site visits, events, and meetings.
Internal Collaboration and Program Administration
- Lead district-wide efforts to develop and champion strategies for industry partnerships.
- Direct integrated, cross-disciplinary efforts to strengthen key alliances in key industry sectors.
- Develop strategic and annual workplans with measurable partnership goals.
- Initiate and manage regular meetings with internal partners to review progress toward partnership goals.
- Facilitate internal collaboration to create and expand corporate partnership opportunities.
- Develop and deliver presentations to the Foundation Board and Seattle Colleges' leadership.
- Responsibly document all work with partners in the relationship management tracking system to create institutional communications
- Lead efforts to quantify the Colleges' impact on local and state economy for external audiences.
- Collaborate with internal communications partners to raise partnership visibility and Colleges' reputation.
- Generate stewardship activities to recognize corporate partners.
- Amplify success stories related to workforce programs and the Colleges' economic impact.
Organizational Leadership
- Collaborate with leaders district-wide to develop an institutional culture that attracts, engages, and cultivates a broad array of corporate partnerships.
- Share knowledge and educate leaders about corporate partnership models and practices and philanthropy trends.
- Identify, address, and resolve challenges in working with leadership and staff.
Other Duties
- Initiate and lead special projects.
- Represent the Vice Chancellor of Advancement as needed.
- Oversee contractors and consultants.

What you bring as a candidate: (Any Equivalent Combination of Knowledge, Skills, Abilities, Education and Experience)
- Minimum of Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of work experience, education, and training.
- Minimum of five (5) years in a management position involving financial, planning and resource management in a public, nonprofit, or private company setting.
- Creative strategic planning and problem solving - able to assess new opportunities and challenges, build and implement a plan quickly, problem solve and improve processes in a timely way. Partner and constituent focused
- - responsive to the needs and interests of corporate donors.
- Strong collaboration and communication skills to work effectively with executive leaders in corporate, education, and public sectors.
- Organizational development knowledge to effectively navigate and work in a complex, multi-campus environment.
- Demonstrated ability to make decisions with a high degree of discernment, autonomy, and accountability.
- Proven effectiveness managing others and empowering them to make decisions.
- Demonstrated commitment to working within a college community that is diverse and serves students from a broad spectrum of socioeconomic and academic backgrounds.
- Proven expertise in taking initiative, building, and maintaining strong rapport and positive relationships with various constituencies.
- Demonstrated attention to detail.
- Ability to motivate and engage staff and teams across and within a multi-level and multi-campus organization.
- High level capacity in oral and written communication and experience in effectively communicating key data, trends, and analysis.
- Proficient in MS Office and database management software.
Physical Requirements:
- Ability to perform range of physical motions, exerting up to 25 pounds; lifting and carrying up to 25 pounds; standing, walking, sitting for long periods of time, kneeling, squatting, and stooping; and traversing up and down stairs.
