Allied Health Professional // Phlebotomist Onsite Local Contract Starts 7/13/2026 Job Description Job Title: Phlebotomist II Location: San Antonio, TX Duration: 2 Months Shift / Time Zone: 7:00 am to 4:00 pm Central The Patient Services Representative II (PSR II) is the face of the company to patients, drawing quality blood samples and preparing specimens for lab testing while following established practices and procedures. Responsibilities Under the direction of the area supervisor, perform daily activities accurately and on time. Maintain a safe and professional environment. Perform forensic and clinical specimen collection and processing duties following established practices and procedures. Verify patient demographic info/initials and patient signatures post-venipuncture to confirm correct labeling. Maintain required records and documentation. Demonstrate organizational commitment and promote a positive image to patients, clients, employees, and the public. Job Requirements Ability to provide quality, error-free work in a fast-paced environment. Ability to work independently with minimal on-site supervision. Excellent phlebotomy skills, including pediatric and geriatric. Flexible availability for staffing needs, including weekends, holidays, on-call, and overtime. Ability to make decisions based on established procedures and exercise good judgment. Reliable transportation, valid driver license, and clean driving record, if applicable. Travel and flexible hours to work multiple locations and cover Patient Service Center/In-Office Phlebotomy locations with minimal notice. Capability to handle multiple priorities in a high-volume setting. Superior customer focus; ability to communicate openly and transparently with peers, supervisors, and patients; ability to accelerate and embrace change; and knowledge of the business. Required Education High school diploma or equivalent (REQUIRED). Medical training: medical assistant or paramedic training preferred. Phlebotomy certification preferred; required in California, Nevada, and Washington. Work Experience 1-3 years of phlebotomy experience required, inclusive of pediatric, geriatric and capillary collections. 2 years in a Patient Service Center environment preferred. Customer service experience in a retail or service environment highly preferred. Keyboard/data entry experience.
