Clinical Pharmacist, Specialty Pharmacy

This position is responsible for clinical oversight of patients on specialty medications being serviced by the UCHealth Specialty Pharmacy. The Clinical Pharmacist, Specialty Pharmacy will deliver high-level patient care for patients initiating and continuing specialty medication prescribed within UCHealth. Care will be delivered from a central call center to patients across the UCHealth enterprise. Care will focus on patient and provider education and specialty medication consultation as part of the UCHealth Specialty Pharmacy Patient Management Program. This position will also work closely with the dispensing specialty pharmacy and the prior authorization operations staff to ensure continuity of therapy.

Minimum Requirements:

• Bachelor's Degree in Pharmacy from an accredited school of Pharmacy.
• State licensure as a Pharmacist and any relevant life support certification as determined at position level.

Preferred:

• At least 1-year experience in specialty pharmacy, ambulatory clinical pharmacy services, or related field.
• Completion of PGY1 residency training with experience in specialty pharmacy
• Certified Specialty Pharmacist (CSP) certification and/or Board of Pharmaceutical Specialties (BPS) certification in a related specialty.
• Telehealth or call-center experience
