Shipping & Receiving Manager
Location: Minneapolis, MN
Pay: $85,000–$100,000 annually
Schedule: Full-time, on-site
We are seeking a hands-on Shipping & Receiving Manager to lead warehouse operations for a growing aluminum fabrication company. This role oversees inbound materials, outbound freight, inventory accuracy, carrier coordination, and a small shipping and receiving team.
Responsibilities
Manage daily shipping, receiving, and warehouse operations.
Coordinate LTL, FTL, flatbed, and specialized freight.
Ensure finished products are packaged and protected properly.
Maintain accurate inventory and shipping documentation.
Supervise and train shipping and receiving employees.
Partner with production and project teams to meet deadlines.
Resolve freight damage, discrepancies, and delivery issues.
Improve efficiency, reduce costs, and maintain a safe work area.
Qualifications
Five or more years of shipping, receiving, warehouse, or logistics experience.
Leadership experience in manufacturing or fabrication.
Experience with carriers, inventory systems, shipping software, and Excel.
Strong organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills.
Metal fabrication or aluminum-product experience is preferred.
Experience shipping long or oversized products is a plus.
Forklift experience is preferred.
