What You Will Do:

• Create and serve accurate, appealing alcoholic and nonalcoholic beverages while delivering attentive, friendly service to every guest.
• Build rapport with guests, anticipate needs, and help create a relaxed, memorable bar and dining experience.
• Maintain a clean, organized, fully stocked bar area that supports efficient service during both busy and steady shifts.
• Follow responsible alcohol service practices, food safety standards, sanitation procedures, and all applicable restaurant policies.
• Collaborate closely with servers, kitchen staff, and management to ensure orders are accurate, timely, and aligned with Black Cat Grille’s quality of service standards.
• Use sound menu knowledge to recommend beverages that complement burgers, sandwiches, salads, and American entrees.

What You Will Bring:

• You bring previous bartending, bar service, restaurant service, or hospitality experience and can confidently manage guest requests in a fast paced environment.
• You demonstrate excellent customer service, communication, and teamwork skills that help guests and coworkers feel valued.
• You understand responsible beverage service and can follow food handling, sanitation, and food safety procedures consistently.
• You are dependable, organized, and able to maintain quality, accuracy, and professionalism while multitasking.
• You have the physical ability to stand for extended periods and work in person in Ridgefield, Connecticut.

Nice to Have:

• Experience as a mixologist, cocktail server, barback, food and beverage professional, or front of house team member is valued.
• ServSafe certification, food safety training, or familiarity with hospitality point of sale systems is a plus.
• Knowledge of American cuisine, menu pairings, and beverage recommendations will help you excel in this guest facing role.

Compensation and Benefits:

• Earn an annual salary of $50,000 to $90,000, based on experience and qualifications.
