Safety & Compliance Manager

M & F Laundry is growing, and we're looking for a Safety & Compliance Manager to help us continue building a safer, stronger and more accountable operation. At M & F, safety isn't a checklist. We're looking for someone who can lead that effort. What You'll Do Lead M & F's workplace safety and compliance programs Conduct routine facility, equipment and workplace safety inspections Identify hazards and drive corrective actions through completion Develop, maintain and continuously improve safety policies, procedures and programs Coordinate employee safety training and maintain required documentation Lead new-hire safety orientation Conduct incident and near-miss investigations Perform root-cause analysis and implement preventative corrective actions Manage OSHA-related documentation, reporting and compliance requirements Partner with Maintenance and Operations on machine safety, guarding and lockout/tagout procedures Support ergonomics and injury-prevention initiatives Monitor PPE requirements and compliance Support driver and fleet safety programs Track safety performance, trends and leading indicators Partner with management and insurance providers on workers' compensation and injury-prevention initiatives Conduct regular safety meetings and reinforce accountability throughout the organization Stay current with applicable federal, state and local workplace safety requirements What We're Looking For We're looking for someone who understands that a strong safety program isn't built from paperwork. It's built on the floor. You should be comfortable walking the facility, talking with employees, observing how work is actually performed and addressing unsafe conditions before they become incidents. We're looking for someone who is: Proactive and highly organized Comfortable holding people accountable at every level Strong at investigating problems and identifying root causes Confident communicating with employees, supervisors and senior management Capable of turning regulations into practical operating procedures Detail-oriented with documentation and compliance Comfortable working in a fast-paced industrial environment Passionate about building a culture where employees look out for themselves and each other Experience in manufacturing, industrial operations, warehousing, logistics, hospitality, commercial laundry or another safety-sensitive environment is strongly preferred. Knowledge of California workplace safety requirements and experience with OSHA/Cal/OSHA programs is preferred. Pay & Position Details Pay Range: $25.00–$30.00 per hour, based on experience.
