Medical Billing & Accounts Receivable SpecialistSnelling is seeking an experienced Medical Billing & Accounts Receivable Specialist for an established Lubbock healthcare organization. We are especially interested in candidates with home health, hospice, or long-term care billing experience. Compensation is competitive and may exceed $20/hour for candidates with strong, directly related experience.PAY & BENEFITS$20+/hour, depending on experienceFull-time, temp-to-hire opportunityCompetitive compensation for highly qualified candidatesBenefits include medical, dental, vision, 401(k), paid holidays, and generous PTORESPONSIBILITIESPrepare and submit medical insurance claims accurately and timelyFollow up on unpaid, underpaid, rejected, and denied claimsCorrect and resubmit claims or appeals as necessaryWork directly with Medicare, Medicaid, commercial insurance carriers, and other payers to resolve billing issuesMonitor A/R aging and proactively address payment delays and payer trendsGenerate billing, collections, and accounts receivable reportsAssist patients with insurance coverage, benefits, balances, and payment arrangementsMaintain current knowledge of payer requirements and regulatory changesMaintain accurate, confidential billing and patient recordsQUALIFICATIONSHigh school diploma or GED requiredMedical billing, insurance billing, A/R, or healthcare collections experience preferredHome health, hospice, or long-term care billing experience strongly preferredKnowledge of Medicare, Medicaid, commercial insurance, claims, denials, and appealsExperience with EMR/EHR or medical billing softwareMicrosoft Office and Excel proficiencyStrong attention to detail, organization, follow-up, and problem-solving skillsAbility to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environmentProfessional communication and customer service skillsAPPLY TODAYIf you have experience in medical billing, healthcare accounts receivable, Medicare/Medicaid billing, insurance claims, hospice, or home health, apply today for immediate consideration.
