Principal Solutions Engineer

We are seeking to hire a motivated professional to work as a Principal Solutions Engineer in a strategic cybersecurity role focused on strengthening ransomware resilience and cyber recovery governance for a large-scale enterprise environment.

About the Role

This professional will partner with cross-functional teams to mature ransomware recovery processes, validate recovery readiness, improve governance frameworks, and support future‑state cyber resilience initiatives. The role combines technical leadership, process development, risk assessment, and executive‑level communication.

Responsibilities

• Mature and operationalize the ransomware recovery governance program through process development, technical validation, and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Coordinate and oversee ransomware recovery testing activities, including readiness checks, recovery validation, and documentation of results.
• Design and implement application onboarding and review processes, including technical assessments and control verification.
• Partner in the development of ransomware incident response plans and lead technical exercises, simulations, and tabletop activities.
• Assess and remediate gaps across ransomware preparedness related to technology, processes, and people, aligned with NIST and CIS frameworks.
• Develop executive‑level reporting materials, risk heat maps, dashboards, and cyber recovery tracking repositories.

Qualifications

• Deep knowledge of ransomware recovery, cyber resilience, backup, and recovery strategies.
• Strong experience with cybersecurity governance frameworks such as NIST CSF, NIST 800‑61, and CIS Critical Security Controls.
• Hands‑on experience leading incident response exercises, recovery validation testing, and technical assessments.
• Experience developing executive presentations, risk reporting, and cross‑functional governance processes.

Required Skills

• Experience with enterprise cyber recovery platforms and resilience technologies.
• Familiarity with risk management frameworks and operational readiness programs.
• Previous experience supporting large‑scale enterprise security environments.
• Strong stakeholder management and communication skills across technical and executive audiences.

Preferred Skills

• Deliver a comprehensive current‑state ransomware preparedness assessment within 30 days.
• Develop and maintain an ongoing ransomware risk heat map.
• Support the creation of training curriculum for operations and support teams.
• Establish and maintain a cyber recovery tracking repository and reporting dashboard.
