Summary The Digital Learning Team Coordinator, under the Director of Technology, ensures students and staff have access to effective digital tools and devices while providing leadership and vision for how technology enhances and personalizes learning. This role emphasizes student engagement and instructional impact and collaborates closely with district and department leaders to align goals, scale effective practices, and guide work related to artificial intelligence, digital curricular resources, and learning management systems. Essential Duties and Responsibilities In collaboration with district leadership, set and align the vision for using technology to enhance and personalize learning in support of student engagement across schools and departments. Coordinate goals and priorities between technology teams and the LIT Team. Lead and manage a small team delivering digital learning initiatives, support services, device and application management, and professional learning. Select digital curricular resources and contribute to review and adoption processes. Oversee the design, implementation, and effective use of learning management systems (e.g., Schoology, Seesaw, LiFT). Monitor and guide emerging technology like artificial intelligence trends and lead related initiatives and improvements. Review and approve learning applications in alignment with legal and compliance requirements (FERPA, COPPA, data privacy). Analyze device usage to ensure alignment with instructional goals and future‑ready student needs. Collaborate with coordinators, specialists, and cross‑functional teams. Design and deliver high‑quality professional learning and end‑user training. Oversee district printers, copiers, and print shop operations, ensuring print practices align with curriculum and instructional goals. Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Education, Instructional Technology, Educational Leadership, or related field (Master's preferred). Minimum of 3–5 years of experience in K–12 education and/or instructional technology support, coaching, or coordination. Demonstrated experience leading district‑or school‑wide initiatives and managing projects across multiple stakeholders. Experience with learning management systems and digital ecosystems (e.g., Schoology, Seesaw, LiFT, Google Workspace, Microsoft 365). Strong communication, facilitation, and professional learning design skills. Knowledge of student data privacy, accessibility, and compliance requirements. Ability to collaborate across departments and schools to align goals and scale effective practices. Minnesota teaching license or equivalent educational certification preferred. Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities Strong understanding of K–12 teaching and learning practices and how technology can improve student engagement and outcomes. Demonstrated leadership in instructional technology initiatives, including planning, implementation, professional learning, and continuous improvement. Understanding of AI tools and responsible use in education, including privacy, bias, and academic integrity considerations. Skill in evaluating and selecting digital curricular resources and learning applications using evidence‑based criteria. Ability to build alignment across technology, curriculum, and school‑based teams. Ability to design and facilitate professional learning for a variety of roles and experience levels. Clear and professional communication skills (verbal and written) with students, staff, families, and administrators. Ability to interpret and apply policies, procedures, and legal requirements related to digital tools and data privacy. Strong analytical, problem‑solving, and organizational skills; able to use data and feedback to improve systems and practices. Ability to prioritize, manage timelines, and work effectively with minimal supervision. Commitment to equity and inclusive practices that support all learners. Working knowledge of device ecosystems (e.g., iPads, laptops), classroom peripherals, and common educational applications. Experience supporting change management and adoption of new tools and systems. Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive student and staff data appropriately. Physical Demands Ability to work at a computer for extended periods. Ability to move throughout district buildings and attend meetings at multiple sites. Occasional lifting or moving of equipment and materials (up to approximately 25 lbs.). Ability to operate standard office and instructional technology equipment. Rate of Pay $90,000-102,000 per school year (placement determined based on experience and qualifications). Other salary pro‑rated based on start date.
