This position is responsible for maintaining accurate financial records, tracking project costs, supporting month-end close, and delivering timely financial reporting.This is an in-office role, working closely with project managers, estimators, and leadership to support real-time decision-making.Key ResponsibilitiesPrepare and analyze financial statements, job cost reports, and project performance dataMaintain accurate accounts payable, accounts receivable, and general ledger entriesSupport month-end and year-end close processes, including reconciliations and accrualsProcess subcontractor pay applications and ensure compliance with lien releases and billing deadlinesAssist with cash flow projections, budget tracking, and financial forecastingMonitor financial activity for accuracy and compliance with company policiesCollaborate cross-functionally to support project financial performancePrepare reports for bonding, audits, and banking requirementsQualificationsEducationBachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field requiredCPA or pursuit of CPA is a plusExperience5+ years of accounting experience requiredConstruction accounting experience strongly preferredExperience with government contracts is a plusFamiliarity with Viewpoint, Sage, or Trimble preferredSkills and CompetenciesStrong proficiency in Microsoft ExcelKnowledge of GAAP and construction accounting principlesStrong analytical skills and attention to detailAbility to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlinesStrong communication and teamwork skillsBilingual in English and Spanish is a plusWork EnvironmentThis is a full-time, in-office positionMinimal travel may be required for project audits or meetingsWhy Join Lunacon?Competitive salary and benefits packageSupportive leadership and team-focused cultureOpportunities for growth and advancementWork on impactful, high-visibility construction projectsBe part of a company built on integrity, excellence, and strong relationshipsApply TodayIf you're ready to grow your accounting career in a company where your work directly impacts project success, we encourage you to apply.Join Lunacon Construction Group — Building Excellence Together.
