Unit Details The Johns Hopkins Hospital Surgical Progressive Care Unit is a 32‑bed general surgical unit that offers three levels of care: Floor, Telemetry, and Intermediate Medical Care (IMC). Services provided include: IMC patient arrhythmia management BiPAP/CPAP Bedside bronchoscopy Thoracic surgery (lung resections, pneumonectomy, esophagectomy) Trauma Urology (RRP, TURP) Various other general surgery patients Role Overview You will help lead different initiatives and support the Nurse Manager in the day‑to‑day operations of the unit, providing resources to staff and patient care, ensuring the unit runs smoothly. Lead Clinical Nurse (RN) Responsibilities The Lead Clinical Nurse provides guidance and direction to staff and acts in the absence of the Assistant Nurse Manager or Nurse Manager to oversee a clinical team during care delivery and unit operations. Qualifications BSN or MSN from an accredited nursing program Active Maryland or Compact RN license BLS CPR certification Minimum 3 years of intermediate care or higher acuity RN work experience Ability to lead others, assist in development and implementation of procedures for the unit, use principles of conflict resolution, recommend resource utilization, and implement performance management of staff Salary Range Minimum $46.57 / hour – Maximum $72.18 / hour Compensation commensurate with equity and experience for roles of similar scope and responsibility Important Notices Authorization to work in the United States: applicants who require sponsorship now or in the future will not be considered for this position.
