Operations Finance Sr Specialist

Aramark Student Nutrition provides food and nutrition services to over 350 school districts in the United States, offering public and private education institutions a variety of dining options including breakfast, lunch, after‑school snacks, catering, nutrition education, and retail operations. Job Responsibilities Establish and maintain control systems for financial accounting functions on a unit level. Compile monthly, quarterly and annual financial and operating information and ensure the accuracy and integrity of all financial reports and internal control requirements. Ensure contract compliance, create biweekly and monthly client invoices and track the collection of receivables. Plan, direct, and organize the accurate and timely reporting and forecasting of financial information, including preparation of the annual operating budget, updating monthly projections and managing the close process. Investigate variances to plan and projections, analyze monthly trend reports, develop solutions, communicate and implement corrective action plans. Ensure proper payroll processing, vacation/time off, workers’ compensation, STD and LTD, and resolve any discrepancies relative to payroll. Provide support on major projects by gathering and analyzing detailed information. Collaborate with the Aramark Vice President of Operations, Resident District Manager, Directors and Managers. Facilitate on‑going trainings for Aramark operations managers to develop financial acumen. Communicate clear, accurate and timely information to the Senior Members of the Client Team. Direct interaction with the Corporate Controller and various Financial and Department Heads. Ensure adherence to Aramark’s standards of operation, Business Conduct Policy, and all local, state, and federal regulations and codes. Maintain compliance with the Civil Rights Act of 1964, the Age Discrimination in Employment Act of 1967, and the Americans with Disabilities Act. Perform other related duties as directed by the Regional Finance Director, Vice President of Operations or Resident District Manager. Compile and review monthly financial and statistical data to perform analysis of operating metrics compared to industry benchmarks using the Healthcare Operating Template, to identify and correct operational inefficiencies. Maintain a friendly, efficient, positive customer service attitude toward customers, clients and co‑workers. Respond to customer needs. Write reports and business correspondence, and effectively present information and respond to questions from managers, clients and customers. Qualifications Ideal candidate will possess a bachelor’s degree in Finance or Accounting; MBA preferred. Minimum 5+ years of progressive financial experience required, including AP/AR, payroll, and P&L management. Experience in budgeting, forecasting, financial cost control planning, analysis and monthly reporting is a must. Demonstrated ability to manage in a diverse environment with a focus on client and customer services is essential.
