Flexo Press Operator - 1st Shift

Flexographic Press Operator This position is responsible for operating a flexographic press, encompassing all stages of the printing process from understanding work orders and preparing materials to ensuring quality output and timely job completion. The role requires a strong understanding of printing processes, color matching, and the ability to troubleshoot and make real-time adjustments to minimize waste. Our direct marketing services deliver results utilizing our in-house production, design capabilities, data and digital expertise, and fully integrated approach producing timely and cost-efficient direct mail packages for our worldwide clients. 12 Hour Shift - 5AM-5PM Responsibilities and Activities: Operates and maintains equipment. Removes finished rolls off equipment and put them in boxes or stacks on pallets. Makes boxes, tape ends of rolls when the roll diameter is reached. Meets and exceeds production standards and maintaining customer quality requirements. Communicates job status and production concerns/issues during shift change. Follows all safety policies and procedures. Adheres to all current Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs). Troubleshoots problems with minimum delay time. Communicates with Press Operator on any problems developing and corrective action. Works when equipment is down to maintain production requirements. Continues learning new and improved processes to achieve increased production. Facilitates teamwork among team members and between shifts. Performs additional responsibilities as required to ensure the team's success. Qualifications Education High school diploma or GED. Work Experience 2 years' experience running press equipment preferred. Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities Basic knowledge of postal guidelines for sorted mail preferred. Knowledge of mechanical operations. Knowledge of production processes. Prior experience with computers and software driven mechanical systems preferred. Ability to read and interpret job instructions. Ability to work with both computers and mechanical systems. Comfortable working in a team environment. Ability to monitor production equipment for speed and quality Proficiency with software driven mechanical systems Ability to perform the physical requirements of the job, including moving up to 10 pounds regularly and lifting no more than 50 pounds intermittently.
