Location: Shakopee, MN Duration: Contract for the full school year (NSY) Setting: K-12 School Key Responsibilities Assess and manage student health concerns and emergencies during school hours Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by healthcare providers Develop individualized healthcare plans for students with chronic conditions Collaborate with educators, parents, and healthcare professionals to support student wellness Maintain accurate health records and ensure compliance with regulations Provide health education and promote healthy lifestyle practices among students Desired Qualifications Current RN licensure with valid credentials to practice as a School Nurse Experience working in a school or pediatric healthcare environment preferred Strong knowledge of health assessments, medication administration, and emergency response Excellent communication skills for interacting with students, staff, and families Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive health information professionally This contract position offers an opportunity to impact student health positively throughout the academic year while working in a supportive school community.
