Cardiac Sonographer

EchocardiographerThis position will be responsible for independently performing echo procedures in our clinical settings. The ideal candidate must have experience in performing Adult Echos, the ideal candidate must also be able to work in a fast-paced environment.Essential Functions of the Role:Perform echocardiograms, M-mode, and Doppler evaluations on patients to evaluate cardiac functioningFollow physician protocols to ensure accuracy for each patientCapture images using ultrasound imaging technology for review by cardiologistsMonitor patient conditions during the echocardiogram procedureExplain the echocardiogram procedure to patients prior to the testMaintain and troubleshoot ultrasound equipmentCalibrate and clean equipment after each useMaintain patient records in accordance with Privacy and HIPAA regulationsDocument findings and results of echocardiogramsWork with cardiologists to provide patient care and supportPerform cardiac stress testingAdminister IV Definity and agitated saline independentlyMinimum Qualifications:Prefer at least 1 year of experience in echocardiographyMust have completed an Echo Technologist course of trainingRDCS or RCS CertificationCurrent BLS (Basic Life Support) is requiredWork EnvironmentClinical office 8-hour Day shift Monday -FridayPhysical RequirementsThis position requires full range of body motion.
