Looking for a candidate with strong critical thinking skills and who works well with other people.No prior experience is required; all necessary training is provided. This is a growth position that could lead to many other opportunities at Ryder. Essential Functions Manage part deliveries, including scheduling deliveries, adjusting deliveries, and canceling deliveries Monitor inventory levels to make sure they are sufficient React to critical inventory shortages with recovery transportation plan Input data into a computer system Read Microsoft Excel spreadsheets and use logistics management software Communicate via phone, email, and handheld radio transceiver with suppliers, GM personnel, and other Ryder team members Additional Responsibilities Perform other duties as assigned Skills and Abilities Ability to create and maintain professional relationships within all levels of the organization (peers, work groups, customers, supervisors) Ability to work independently and as a member of a team Flexibility to operate and self-driven to excel in a fast-paced environment Capable of multi-tasking, highly organized, with excellent time management skills Strong organizational, problem solving and communication skills Strong verbal and written communication skills Flexible work schedule Qualifications H.S. diploma/GED required Bachelor’s degree preferred One (1) year or more administrative experience preferred. preferred Five (5) years or more relevant experience strongly recommended. preferred Travel None DOT Regulated None Our people are passionate about what they do, the product they sell, and the customers they serve.
