Interventional Cardiology Advanced Practice Provider

Job Description This Cardiology Advanced Practice Provider (APP) position is a Cath Lab Interventional Cardiology role located primarily at Saint Luke's East and occasionally at Blue Springs clinic. The primary patient population is adult. There is a weekend and holiday commitment for this role. This is a full time role with 4x10 shifts, Monday-Friday and variable day schedule. The employee will be responsible for the medical management of the Cardiology patient population within the scope of an Advanced Practice Provider. The term Advanced Practice Provider encompasses Nurse Practitioners, Physician Assistants, and Clinical Nurse Specialists. The employee will have successfully completed a Master’s degree (or higher level of educational program) and have met the requirements for the respective State Board(s) (Missouri and Kansas). The APP will hold and maintain a national certification and licensure as required by State Boards and Saint Luke’s Health System, as well as other certification as obligatory for this role. Cardiology disease processes the APP will be expected to accurately diagnose and treat include general cardiology with a focus subspecialized patient populations as indicated. Responsibilities Completion of admissions, consultations, subsequent day visits and discharges in the inpatient setting Independent practice in the outpatient clinic and/or inpatient setting and collaborating with physician(s) as appropriate Ordering and management of appropriate laboratory and diagnostic studies Independent practice within the scope of Advanced Practice Provider responsibilities Skills and Qualifications Utilizes prescriptive authority in accordance with state and federal laws and regulations Obtains and documents relevant problem focused or comprehensive history from patient/medical records in a timely manner Communicates effectively using appropriate terminology, format, and technology in accordance with health system policies Analyzes data to determine health status Communicates effectively with other healthcare professionals Performs an accurate physical exam Demonstrates basic science and up to date clinical knowledge Establishes a patient relationship characterized by mutual respect, empathy, and collaboration Takes initiative for seeking opportunities to advance knowledge and experiences Flexibility with scheduled rotations / locations as needed to ensure patient needs are met Job Requirements Applicable Experience: 1 year Advanced Practice Provider – Various Master’s Degree Work Details Full Time – Day shift (United States of America) Equal Opportunity Employer Equal Opportunity Employer. #J-18808-Ljbffr
