From managing complex obstetric situations to supporting community physicians and advancing team-based care, you'll help shape exceptional experiences for mothers, babies, and families throughout Minnesota. *Why Physicians Choose This Role* * The OB ICU/Cardio-OB referral expertise at Abbott Northwestern Hospital * 24/7 hospitalist model providing labor and delivery coverage, obstetric emergency care, and inpatient gynecologic services - The *t*wo-physician model on Labor & Delivery * Work alongside a highly collaborative team including Maternal-Fetal Medicine specialists, OB/GYN physicians, Certified Nurse Midwives, Family Medicine OB physicians, and experienced nursing staff * Support community providers while maintaining continuity and quality of care for patients across the region without outpatient clinic responsibilities * Enjoy a predictable schedule and greater work-life balance compared to traditional private practice models *Practice Details:* * Provide comprehensive inpatient OB/GYN care, including Labor & Delivery, postpartum management, obstetric emergencies, and inpatient gynecologic consultations. * Serve as a key member of a 24/7 hospitalist program, caring for both assigned and unassigned patients while ensuring rapid response to high-acuity clinical situations. * Collaborate closely with Maternal-Fetal Medicine specialists, Certified Nurse Midwives, Family Medicine OB physicians, and community OB/GYN providers to deliver coordinated, team-based care. * Manage a diverse patient population ranging from routine obstetrics to medically and surgically complex maternal cases, including urgent operative deliveries. * Utilize Epic (Excellian) within a flexible hospitalist model offering shared day, night, weekend, and holiday coverage. * Competitive compensation and total rewards package. *Location:* Based in Minneapolis-St. Paul metro, this opportunity offers the chance to provide high-acuity inpatient women's care across Abbott Northwestern Hospital, United Hospital, and Mercy Hospital locations, while collaborating with an exceptional multidisciplinary team dedicated to outstanding maternal and newborn outcomes.
