Director, Institutional & HNW Business Development (Investment Platform) Based in New York, NY | National Travel (50–60%) We are seeking a high-energy, relationship-driven Director-level Business Development professional to lead institutional and high-net-worth client acquisition across the United States. This is a front-line, road-based role for an established capital raiser who thrives in direct investor engagement and is motivated to represent a differentiated investment platform to sophisticated allocators. Based in New York, this role will serve as the firm’s primary external presence across a broad U.S. footprint, sourcing, developing, and closing capital relationships across institutional and private/retail wealth channels. What You’ll Do Own the full capital formation lifecycle across the U.S. — from initial outreach and first meetings through diligence, negotiation, and close Travel extensively (50–60%), meeting with pensions, endowments, foundations, family offices, RIAs, and other institutional or wealth advisory channels Leverage existing relationships to generate early traction while systematically building a broader national pipeline Maintain and deepen a strong network of institutional and wealth management relationships across the U.S., with a strong preference for established coverage and connectivity in the Midwest region Partner closely with investment professionals, investor relations, and senior leadership to deliver timely, accurate, and compelling messaging to prospective investors Maintain disciplined CRM usage and pipeline tracking to ensure transparency and firm-wide visibility into capital formation progress Who You Are 10–15 years of experience in asset management, investment sales, or capital raising with a proven track record across institutional or wealth channels Demonstrated success raising and retaining capital from pensions, endowments, foundations, family offices, RIAs, or insurance platforms Strong existing network across U.S. institutional markets; meaningful relationships in the Midwest are strongly preferred Comfortable operating independently across large geographies while staying tightly integrated with a centralized team Highly credible communicator capable of clearly articulating complex investment strategies in both formal and informal settings Strong relationship builder with a long-term, trust-based approach to client development Low ego, high output mindset with a collaborative orientation and willingness to share success Bachelor’s degree required; MBA or CFA designation is a plus #J-18808-Ljbffr Atlas Search
