Traveling Construction Project ManagerPosition OverviewWe are seeking a Traveling Construction Project Manager to lead and deliver medium to large construction projects across multiple sites. This role manages project planning, budgets, schedules, subcontractors, and quality control while traveling to client locations as needed. The ideal candidate combines strong construction project management experience with technical knowledge of energy control systems, excellent communication skills, and a commitment to safety and on-time delivery.Key ResponsibilitiesManage all phases of construction projects from pre-construction through closeout across multiple geographic locations, ensuring on-time, on-budget delivery.Develop, monitor, and control project schedules and budgets; provide regular status updates and forecasts to stakeholders.Coordinate and supervise subcontractors, vendors, and on-site personnel to ensure work meets project specifications and quality standards.Collaborate with engineering, operations, and commissioning teams to integrate energy control systems and ensure system performance meets design intent.Perform site visits to assess progress, resolve issues, and enforce safety, quality, and compliance requirements.Prepare and review project documentation, including contracts, change orders, RFIs, submittals, and progress reports.Identify risks and implement mitigation plans; proactively resolve technical and logistical challenges.Conduct client and stakeholder meetings, manage expectations, and build strong customer relationships.Ensure compliance with company safety programs and applicable regulations (OSHA), and lead safety briefings and inspections on-site.Utilize project management tools (e.g., MS Project, Procore) and maintain accurate job cost tracking and recordkeeping.QualificationsBachelors degree in Construction Management, Engineering, Architecture, or related field, or equivalent experience.5+ years of construction project management experience, preferably with commercial, industrial, or energy-related projects.Hands-on experience with energy control systems, building automation, or related controls integration and commissioning.Proven ability to manage multiple projects and travel frequently between job sites.Strong knowledge of construction means and methods, contract administration, cost control, and scheduling.Excellent communication, leadership, and interpersonal skills; able to work effectively with owners, engineers, contractors, and field staff.Willingness to travel extensively, sometimes for extended periods, and adapt to varying site conditions and client needs.BenefitsVacation/PTOMedicalDentalVision401kBonusRelocationTelecommute
