Tax Analyst

Kforce has a client in Columbia, MD that is seeking a Tax Analyst. Responsibilities:

• Apply tax and financial concepts within real estate transaction models
• Incorporate relevant tax and structural considerations into Excel-based deal models
• Analyze how assumptions impact pricing, risk, and overall deal economics
• Identify potential gaps or risks that could affect transaction outcomes
• Review and refine financial models during underwriting and diligence
• Evaluate models prepared by analysts and enhance them with additional technical considerations
• Adjust assumptions based on new information uncovered during the deal process
• Ensure consistency and accuracy across financial projections
• Support transactions through closing
• Assist with updating models to reflect final deal terms
• Ensure financial schedules and supporting materials align with transaction documents
• Respond to changes and requests quickly in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment
• Collaborate cross-functionally
• Partner with internal teams and external stakeholders including legal, finance, and operations
• Communicate complex concepts clearly to non-technical audiences
• Experience with financial modeling, preferably in real estate, corporate finance, or transaction advisory
• Understanding of tax concepts or transaction structuring (tax credit or real estate experience is a plus)
• Strong Excel skills with the ability to build and modify detailed financial models
• Knowledge of partnership structures or deal economics is preferred
• Ability to interpret technical concepts and translate them into quantitative analysis
• Strong analytical thinking and attention to detail
• Effective communication skills and ability to work across teams
