Overview
Registered Nurse, Operating Room (OR) – Travel assignment in Sonora, California. Start date: 08/17/2026. Duration: 4 weeks. Weekly pay: $1,812 – $1,925 per week. Guaranteed hours: 36 per week. Shift: 7:00 AM – 7:00 PM. Setting: Short Term Acute Care Hospital.

Responsibilities
- Deliver coordinated nursing care for a patient or assigned group of patients in the OR according to established standards of care and the nursing process.
- Prepare, position, and monitor surgical patients; maintain sterile technique and assist with intraoperative procedures.
- Collaborate with surgeons, anesthesia providers, circulating nurses, and surgical technologists to ensure safe, efficient care and proper instrumentation counts.
- Assess patient status, document findings, and adapt care plans to changes in the patient’s condition.
- Provide patient and family education related to perioperative care; participate in discharge planning to support continuity of care.
- Delegate appropriately and coordinate duties of the health care team while maintaining a safe and healing environment.

Requirements
- Current Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of California (state of practice).
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from an approved vendor.
- Minimum two years of recent nursing experience in the operating room or related acute care setting.
- Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing (BSN) preferred.
- Ability to work in a high-demand OR environment and participate effectively in a travel assignment.
- Must meet requirements to practice in the listed setting and be in good standing with licensure.
