Collections Specialist

Late-Stage Collections SpecialistThis position is responsible for the collection of 90-180+ day past due (pre charge-off) credit card accounts via outbound and inbound calls. As a late-stage Collections Specialist you will be required to negotiate payment solutions with customers, all while maintaining a professional demeanor. This is a fast paced, goal-oriented collection call center position.Responsibilities:Contact customers to collect on overdue accounts through outbound and inbound callsNegotiate payment arrangements, settlements, or workout plans to assist customers in curing their delinquent balancesInitiate account corrections/updates/adjustments whenever necessaryMaintain accurate and precise notes on accounts, updating the account status on the database regularlyValidate customer demographics (phone, address, etc.) to ensure accuracyComplete required compliance certifications mandated by the bankDeliver a positive and professional approach to every customer interactionMinimum Qualifications:Minimum of six (6) months of prior collection experienceResults driven individual with the ability to consistently meet or exceed performance metricsSelf-starter who can communicate clearly and professionallyAbility to connect and demonstrate empathy for customersStrong listening and negotiation skills - willingness to find a realistic solutionTeam player who brings energy, positivity, and collaboration to every taskCapable of aligning with organizational core valuesBasic knowledge of federal and state collection regulationsAbility to multi-task and quickly move from one function to anotherSolid typing skillsPreferred: Bilingual (Spanish/English)3rd party collections experienceKnowledge of skip tracingSchedule: Monday – Thursday, 10:30am to 7pm / Friday 8am to 4:30pm (40 hrs.)Work Location: Hybrid– 6275 Eastland Road, Brook Park, OH 44142At Bridgestone, you are Free to BeWe believe people can only provide superior service and quality to others when they feel safe bringing their chosen version of themselves to work.
