INTERVENTIONAL RADIOLOGY TECHNOLOGIST (1.0 FTE, DAYS)

Job Description University of Washington Medical Center – Northwest – Radiology – Interventional Radiology offers a position for an Interventional Radiology Technologist . Work Schedule Full-time; 100% FTE; 40 hours per week Day shift Occasional weekend call Department Description Advanced imaging and diagnostic services in North Seattle. Radiology at UWMC‑Northwest utilizes advanced diagnostic imaging technology. Board‑certified radiologists specialize in cardiac, neuro, musculoskeletal, interventional radiology, nuclear medicine and body/breast imaging. Team provides quick and effective diagnostics to accelerate treatment. Services include routine radiology, MRI, CT, ultrasound, nuclear medicine and interventional radiology. Primary Job Responsibilities Assist radiologists in performing interventional procedures. Assist physicians in performing interventional diagnostic exams and procedures. Assist in angiographic, interventional, neuro‑injection, neuro‑embolization, and other radiographic procedures. Perform assigned radiographic exams and procedures according to established protocols and standards. Prepare and position patients for exam. Scrub and assist the radiologist, cardiologist, or neurosurgeon; set up sterile procedure trays; circulate and monitor patients during exam. Administer contrast, IV fluids, medications and monitor patient vital signs post‑injection as per hospital guidelines. Perform quality assurance checks on equipment and processes per department policies. Required Position Qualifications Completion of a formal technology training program at an AMA‑approved school and registration by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) OR equivalent education/experience. Certified by the state of Washington as a radiologic technologist.
