Associate Veterinarian Old Chatham, NY
A growing small animal practice is seeking a compassionate and dedicated associate veterinarian to join its collaborative team. This opportunity is ideal for a veterinarian who is passionate about delivering high-quality medical and surgical care while building lasting relationships with clients and their pets.
Responsibilities
- Perform physical examinations, diagnostics, and treatment planning for companion animals
- Diagnose and manage a variety of medical conditions
- Perform routine and advanced surgical procedures as appropriate
- Develop individualized treatment plans and communicate recommendations to pet owners
- Utilize diagnostic imaging, laboratory testing, and other medical technologies to support patient care
- Educate clients on preventive medicine, wellness care, and treatment options
- Maintain accurate and thorough medical records
- Collaborate with veterinary technicians and support staff to ensure exceptional patient care
- Uphold medical standards and best practices while promoting a positive client experience
Qualifications
- Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM) or equivalent degree from an accredited institution
- Active veterinary license or ability to obtain licensure
- Strong medical, surgical, and diagnostic skills
- Excellent communication and client relationship-building abilities
- Commitment to high-quality, evidence-based medicine
- Ability to work collaboratively within a team-oriented environment
- New graduates and experienced veterinarians are encouraged to apply
