Lower School Teacher

Position Description Primary Objective: To inspire students with an elementary education that leads them to love learning, grow in Christ, and gain the liberal arts fundamental skills of reading, spelling, writing, and mathematics. Main Responsibilities Provide instruction in accordance with the school’s classical philosophy. Provide instruction using Charlotte Mason’s pedagogical techniques of narration, habit training, atmosphere, and a curriculum of living books and ideas. Teach and lesson plan for a variety of subjects, including math, nature study, history, literature, poetry, Bible, phonics, reading, spelling, artist study, composer study, and recitation. Implement a phonics approach to reading instruction. Help students grow in habits of mind, heart, and body. Foster positive and collaborative relationships with the students and parents. Foster a positive and collaborative relationship with the classroom aide. Attend staff meetings and training days. #J-18808-Ljbffr Classical Christian Schools
