CDL Class A Delivery DriverEastland Food Corporation is seeking a reliable, safety-conscious, and professional CDL Class A Delivery Driver to join our Logistics team. This position is responsible for the safe, timely, and efficient delivery of grocery and food products of varying sizes and weights to customers along assigned multi-stop routes. The ideal candidate must demonstrate excellent driving skills, strong customer service, attention to detail, and the ability to perform physically demanding work while complying with Department of Transportation (DOT) regulations and company safety policies.Key ResponsibilitiesSafely operate a commercial Class A vehicle to deliver grocery and food products to customers along assigned routes.Ensure timely and accurate deliveries to multiple customer locations.Load, unload, and properly handle products of varying sizes and weights.Verify delivery orders and ensure all products are delivered accurately and in good condition.Follow assigned delivery schedules and routes to maximize efficiency.Perform overnight routes requiring at least one overnight stay per week.Use pallet jacks, hand trucks, and other delivery equipment as needed.Maintain proper product handling procedures, including temperature-sensitive and refrigerated or frozen products.Customer ServiceProvide professional, courteous, and respectful service to all customers.Build positive working relationships with customers through reliable and efficient deliveries.Respond to customer questions and concerns, referring unresolved issues to the Transportation Manager.Communicate delivery delays, shortages, damaged products, or discrepancies promptly.Represent Eastland Food Corporation professionally at all customer locations.Qualifications & RequirementsValid Commercial Driver's License (CDL Class A).Clean driving record with minimal CSA violations.Ability to meet DOT medical certification and driver qualification requirements.Knowledge of DOT regulations, safe driving practices, and commercial vehicle operations.Ability to operate commercial trucks safely in various weather and road conditions.Ability to work overnight at least one night per week.Ability to perform multiple deliveries and meet scheduled delivery times.Strong communication, organizational, and customer service skills.Ability to work independently and follow instructions.Previous food distribution, grocery delivery, or multi-stop route experience preferred.Experience operating refrigerated trucks or trailers preferred.Work ScheduleFull-time position.Schedule may vary depending on assigned delivery routes and business needs.Must be available for early morning departures, extended delivery hours, and at least one overnight stay per week.Occasional weekends, holidays, or overtime may be required based on operational needs.Benefits:Health Insurance (medical, dental, and vision)401(k) plan with company matchingPaid Time Off (PTO) – 15 days per year, plus holidaysFlexible Working Hours and the option to work remotelyProfessional Development opportunities (training, certifications, etc.)Employee Wellness ProgramsWe started Eastland Food with family — and we've been growing it ever since.
