Registered Nurse – Medical/Surgical (Travel Contract)

Schedule / Job Type

Contract (13 Weeks) | Night Shift (7:00 PM – 7:00 AM) | 36 Hours Per Week Guaranteed | Rotating Weekends | Onsite

Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care on a Medical/Surgical unit serving adult and geriatric populations
• Manage a patient ratio of 1:6 across an 18-bed unit
• Document patient assessments, interventions, and outcomes using Meditech EHR
• Float to other units as required based on staffing and census needs
• Participate in weekly Monday orientations as scheduled
• Take ownership of assigned patients and function as a collaborative team member

Required Qualifications

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license
• Minimum of 2 years of Med/Surg experience (5 years strongly preferred)
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
• Proficiency or ability to quickly adapt to Meditech EHR
• Willingness to float to other units as needed

Preferred Experience / Skills

• 5 or more years of Medical/Surgical nursing experience
• Experience with adult and geriatric patient populations
• Strong team-player mentality with a proactive, ownership-driven approach to patient care
