Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) - Escondido, California

A part-time Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) opportunity is available in Escondido, CA, to deliver direct, individualized behavioral support within a structured residential group home setting. This role involves working closely with an individual exhibiting high behavioral needs in a calm, consistent, and skilled manner, focusing on behavior management and skill development.


Key Responsibilities:

• Implement individualized behavior intervention plans (BIPs) with fidelity
• Provide consistent 1:1 support during daily routines and community activities
• Collect accurate data on target behaviors and skill acquisition
• Utilize approved crisis intervention and de-escalation strategies
• Assist with life skills development including hygiene, communication, and social interaction
• Collaborate with supervising Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA) and residential staff
• Maintain a safe and supportive environment

Qualifications and Experience:

• Active Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) certification is required
• Experience working with individuals with high behavioral needs
• Strong knowledge of Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) principles and behavior reduction techniques
• Skilled in crisis prevention and intervention strategies
• Professional, patient, and reliable with excellent confidentiality practices and documentation skills

Work Schedule and Location:

• Approximately 15 hours per week with flexible scheduling options including afternoons, evenings, or weekends depending on client needs
• Consistent assignment providing 1:1 support to the same individual
• Located in Escondido, California
