Pay: Starting hourly salary of at least $15.00 per hour depending on experienceWhat We Are Looking For:The Custodian is responsible for maintaining a clean, safe, and sanitary manufacturing production facility. This role supports daily plant operations by performing routine and specialized cleaning tasks across production floors, break rooms, restrooms, offices, and common areas. The Custodian works in a fast-paced industrial environment and must follow all safety protocols, including OSHA regulations and company-specific guidelines.What You'll Do:Sweep, mop, scrub, and sanitize production floors, hallways, and common areas on a scheduled and as-needed basisClean and disinfect facility including restrooms, common areas, break rooms, and office spaces dailyRemove trash, recyclables, and manufacturing waste from designated collection points and transport to disposal/dumpster areasClean and maintain industrial equipment exteriors, conveyor areas, and non-operational machine surfaces as directedReplenish supplies in restrooms, break rooms, and hand-washing stations (soap, paper towels, sanitizer, etc.)Operate industrial floor scrubbers, sweepers, pressure washers, and other custodial equipmentMonitor and report facility maintenance needs, safety hazards, or equipment issues to the supervisorAssist with spill cleanup and emergency sanitation response on the production floorClean loading docks, exterior entryways, and parking lot areas as assignedProperly label, store, and handle cleaning chemicals in accordance with OSHA and SDS guidelinesPerform deep-cleaning tasks on a rotating schedule (e.g., walls, vents, machinery bases, storage areas)Complete daily cleaning logs and inspection checklists accuratelyPerform other duties as assigned by the Facilities Manager or Plant SupervisorWho You Are:Prior custodial, janitorial, or industrial cleaning experience preferredAbility to read and follow written and verbal instructions, including safety signageBasic knowledge of cleaning chemicals, dilution ratios, and safe handling proceduresMust be able to work independently and as part of a teamReliable attendance and punctuality are essentialHigh school diploma or GED preferredMust pass a pre-employment background check and drug screenSupervisory Responsibilities: NoneWork Environment: Position operates in a regulated manufacturing print/mail production facilityPhysical Demands:Stand and walk for up to 12 hours, with frequent bending, kneeling, and reachingMust be able to lift, push, or pull up to 50 poundsPerform repetitive motions in a fast-paced production environmentSecurity Clearance: Amsive is a Federal Contractor, and this position may require government security clearance for certain projects.Other Duties: Please note this job description is not designed to cover or contain a comprehensive listing of all activities, duties or responsibilities that are required of the employee for this job.
